About

The Caffeinery is a coffee and tea house that specializes in gourmet coffees, loose leaf teas, and espresso-based beverages. Whether you’re looking for a morning cup of coffee or a sun cured single origin Ethiopian, you can count on our highly skilled baristas to execute your coffee needs with artistic precision. The Caffeinery is located in downtown Muncie, Indiana and is housed in northeast corner of the historic Murray building. The beautiful open-concept shop has been painstakingly designed to match the timeless visual aesthetics of the building itself. It is owned and operated by husband and wife Frank and Lauren Reber.

Having lived downtown for several years, Frank and Lauren are very familiar with the area. It was no secret that the downtown area was in great need of a coffee shop. No downtown is complete without a locally owned coffee shop to keep the community energized while also providing a space to meet coworkers, friends, and family.

Frank and Lauren are both self employed Muncie natives and are no strangers when it comes to family owned businesses. Lauren’s family used to own The Music Room in Muncie, Indiana for years before her father retired and sold the building. Frank’s family owns Reber Machine & Tool. Their upbringing had a lot to do with their entrepreneurial spirit. Aside from the coffee shop, Lauren is a musician and professional photographer that specializes in wedding and lifestyle photography. Frank is a musician and recording engineer who specializes in recording music. However, the common thread that connects all of these business ventures has always been coffee.
